In comparison to garnet-bearing ultrabasics the authors analysed the accessories Cr, Mn, Ti and Ni in 23 eclogites of middle Europe and determined the distribution among the eclogitie minerals. Beside the average content of 0-019 % Cr 2 O 3 , 0-323 % MnO, 1.09 % TiO 2 and about 0.002 % NiO in the rooks, only MnO is enriched considerably in garnet phase, while Cr 2 O 3 -content is higher only in some garnets. By analysing garnet fractions of different chemical composition in some eclogites--which could be selected according to difference of colour--the authors found certain rules in distribution of the accessories and determined the "real TiO 2 -contont" in the garnet phase.
