The high ultraviolet luminosity and long-lived, extremely luminous ultraviolet circumstellar emission lines of Type IIn supernovae (SNe IIn) have enabled photometric detection and late-time spectroscopic confirmation at high redshift. I will present the current sample of discovered and confirmed SNe IIn selected between z = 1.8 - 2.5 in the CFHTLS Deep survey. The spectra show unambiguous line-emission generated by the supernovae, including strong Lyα emission, that confirm these events as Type IIn. I will discuss the implications of the current photometric and spectroscopic data sets on the form of the high-mass end of the stellar initial mass function at high redshift.
