A study of the spectra of two Type II supernovae, showing a slow
decrease in their light curve after approximately 100 days, has been
made. For these supernovae, at times greater than 100 days, the envelope
is shown to be ionized by radiation from a central source, probably a
pulsar. A tentative model of such an envelope is derived.
