We have developed simple Monte Carlo models for extinction of Type Ia supernova light due to dust in host galaxies, both spiral and spheroidal (E and S0). The models are based on well-known observational facts concerning dust, galaxy morphology, and star distributions. Predictions of the models are compared with Type Ia supernova extinction data at low and high redshift. In general, the agreement is quite good, although the limited precision of the data has so far precluded critical tests of the models.
