The Nearby Supernova Factory reports that a spectrum (range 340-1000 nm) of SN 2005bx (CBET #148), obtained May 1.5 UT with the SuperNova Integral Field Spectrograph on the University of Hawaii 2.2-m
telescope, shows it to be a Type IIn. Assuming the NED velocity for the host of 9359 km/s, H-alpha appears in emission with a fwhm of approximately 3500 km/s.
