For a single transparent gravitational lens it has been shown that the number of images of an arbitrary source is odd, and that at least one of these images is not demagnified relative to the case that the deflector is absent. Here, we show that these two results are valid also in multiple deflection gravitational lens theory, i.e., where more than one matter inhomogeneity lies between the source and the observer. In addition, lower bounds on the magnification of images corresponding to light rays with minimum light travel time are derived.
