An analysis is conducted of large 2D slices generated by a pancake model for galaxy formation, from which point samples are extracted by a dynamical biasing method. The initial conditions invoke power spectra associated with hot dark matter conditions. Attention is given to the dependence of the two-point correlation function (CF) on the biasing method used, as well as to a comparison of the CF of the whole sample with that of the subsamples extracted from the whole at different scales. The luminous fraction of the overdensity in subsamples and the CF slope and amplitude reveal large sampling errors on scales typical of current all-sky surveys. A method with which the 'fair-sample hypothesis' is rejected is presented.
