During the first stage of planet formation solid particles and gas are coupled by aerodynamical forces. We developed a high accuracy 2D hydrodynamical code to simulate the disk evolution. Gas is considered as a compressible fluid while solid particles, fully coupled to the gas, are treated as a pressure-free diluted second phase. The code has been successfully tested in 1D and 2D situations but also against analytical solutions. First results indicate that the back reaction of the particles onto the gas plays a consequent role in regions of the nebula where the density of solid is enhanced with respect to the standard fraction of solid material. This contributes to make the timescale problem in planetesimal formation less acute.
