The plane averaged restricted three-body problem is considered for the cases of small and large orbital eccentricities of the perturbing body. A librational solution in the case of small eccentricities and an unstable solution in the case of large eccentricities are presented. In both cases, the perturbed orbital elements are expressed explicitly as functions of time. A method for reduction to quadratures in the case of libration is described.
