Two optically violent variable (OVV) objects which show emission line features during the bright phases of their outbursts are reported together with possible explanations. Charts copied from UJ6543P of the object's prism spectra are provided as well as the corresponding direct images copied from J7940. CCD observations were made to estimate the amplitudes of variations; neither of these objects was detected, indicating that they have very large variations. It is suggested that they are OVV QSOs, and hence may be a link between normal QSOs and BL Lac objects. Other possibilities include galactic novae, optical bursts of X-ray sources, and Mira variables.
