The application of maximum entropy techniques to radio map production is considered. The maximum entropy approach to imaging radio brightness involves the selection of the image which maximizes the entropy measure and is compatible with the available measurements. A description is presented of numerical methods which can be used to find an image satisfying the necessary conditions, taking into account a flow chart for iterative maximum entropy reconstruction. The implementation of the discussed method is illustrated with the aid of examples employing data obtained with a five-element radio telescope. Limitations of the current theory are also examined.
