The system of ideal MHD equations has been reduced to a single nonlinear equation of the magnetic potential as a 'Sh-Gordon' equation for the case of two-dimensional MHD equilibria. Analytical solutions have been obtained which can describe parallel filaments of a diffused magnetized plasma suspended horizontally in equilibrium in a uniform gravitational field. The present results can be applied to cylindrical laboratory plasmas.
