Photoelectric photometry of the eclipsing binary IU Aur is used to discuss the presence of a third body in the system. The data indicate that IU Aur did not show eclipses prior to 1924-1925. The periodic variation of the light elements indicate that e is greater than zero for the orbit of the third component. Observations of times of minima in the phase interval 0.6 less than or equal to phi (293d) is less than or equal to 1.0 will help establish the exact value of the eccentricity.
