During 1985, two exceptional fireballs were widely observed over Alberta with, in both instances, a reasonable probability of a meteorite fall. A daytime fireball in March 2nd was observed from Alberta and southern portions of the Northwest Territories, terminating near Fox Lake in northern Alberta. An early evening firbeball on September 28th was observed from central and southern Alberta, and has a projected fall zone in Jasper National Park. The observations and their analysis are described for each event.
