The strategy of the TV experiment is described. The television system (TVS) was designed as a two-camera, four channel system with CCD imagers. It permits imaging with angular resolutions of about 35 and 28 arc s in six different spectral bands in the range 400 - 1100 nm. The image formats sent to the Earth are 128×128 and 512×512 pixels. The TVS was placed on a pointing platform. The pointing of the platform during the encounter was also controlled by the TVS's processor after it analysed the images obtained.
