Rocket-borne spherical gridded electrostatic probes measured ionospheric positive ion current during the Energy Budget Campaign. Spectral analysis of the relative density fluctuations indicates turbulence below 100 km. The most strongly developed turbulent structures appear during periods of strong magnetic disturbance. A moderately disturbed day shows the least turbulence.
