The abundances and isotopic compositions of noble gases were determined in eight unequilibrated (type 3.0-3.8) ordinary chondrites (two LLs, four Ls, and two Hs), including the most primitive ordinary chondrite, LL 3.0 Semarkona. The results do not confirm the previous reports of variations of the H-Xe/L-Xe ratio among ordinary chondrites, nor do they confirm reports that this ratio in ordinary chondrites is different from that in Allende. The paper discusses constraints on the origin of the HL-Xe as a single monolithic component of ordinary carbon chondrites.
