Radiative transition probabilities are calculated, using the atomic structure computer program SUPERSTRUCTURE, for the forbidden lines in the ground configuration 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p3 of all the members of the P I isoelectronic sequence up to Ni XIV. Improvements are achieved over previous work in this area by the use of such procedures as: (1) configuration interaction, (2) relativistic corrections to the magnetic dipole operator, (3) special radial wave functions, and (4) semi-empirical term energy corrections. The importance of the changes described is discussed in the context of astrophysical problems.
