We have reduced ultra-deep, ground-based optical (B, V, Hα) and satellite-based ultraviolet (FUV, NUV) images, as well as HI-emission data cubes collected at the VLA, for a small sample of dwarf irregular galaxies. UV and HI data were reduced for I Zw 115, UV and BV data for DDO 133 and NGC 4163, and HI data for DDO 86, in order to measure the radial light profile and gas density distribution of the galaxies. These data were then analyzed to determine the star formation history into their extreme outer disks, where the gas density is generally too low to spontaneously fragment into star-forming clouds. Additionally, the magnitudes and colors of individual star-forming regions in NGC 4163 were measured in the optical and UV in order to model their ages and masses, and rotation curves were fit to the HI velocity fields of DDO 86 and I Zw 115 using an algorithm that disentangles the ordered, bulk motion of the gas from the random motions. This research has been supported by NSF grant AST-0453611 through Northern Arizona University and Lowell Observatory.
