The spectroscopic measurement activity presently conducted at VKI on Titan atmosphere plasmas is reported in this paper. Emission spectroscopy is used to obtain absolute, local emission coefficient measurements. The set-up and the first results are presented herein. Efforts are currently underway to evaluate conditions in which the investigated plasma can be proven to be at equilibrium. For this purpose, the TALIF technique will be used to probe atomic species present in the flow. The set-up and the first TALIF measurements are also presented. Key words: Titan; ICP; emission spectroscopy; TALIF.
