A magnetohydrodynamic model of time varying driven reconnection is presented. The plasma flow is of two dimensional, time dependent, stagnation point character. The initial magnetic fields are antiparallel on either side of the current sheet. Reconnection is initiated at the stagnation point and leads to the generation of regions which connect the magnetic fields between the inflow regions. The time and space behavior of the so called field reversal region (or outflow region) is studied analytically on the basis of a thin boundary layer model.
