Based on data obtained at Rostov for 1969-1979, an analysis is presented of the morphological features of the anomalous absorption of ordinary waves caused by their statistical transformation into slow extraordinary waves at small-scale natural irregularities of electron density in the F-region. It is shown that the irregularities are maximally intense in the morning, 90 minutes after sunrise, and in the evening, when the terminator passes at a height of 150 km.
