A method is described for evaluating X-ray flux variability parameters, with allowance for the finite integration time of the intensimeters. The parameters of the shot-noise signal are determined for Salyut 4 observations of Cyg X-1 at 2-10 keV in June-July 1975. If the shot effect contributes 25% of the flux, the burst rate would be 0.7 per sec, with the bursts lasting 0.7 sec.
