LQ Peg declined to a low optical state in 1999 July, marking the onset of the second recorded fading for this VY Scl-type nova-like variable. Time-series photometry of LQ Peg was obtained on four nights in September and October to study the system's behavior during its return to normal brightness. Although considerable flickering occurred while in the faintest state, no coherent signal was present. As the star brightened, the level of flickering diminished.
