A fully three-dimensional code for magnetic CP stars is introduced that follows the evolution of the magnetic field of the star simultaneously with the evolution of the thermal structure of the stellar model. The nuclear evolution of the stellar model is not included, although estimates of evolutionary effects are given. The model is used to calculate the evolution of the large-scale magnetic fields immersed in the radiative envelopes of middle main-sequence stars over time-scales comparable with the main-sequence lifetimes of the stars.
