The calculations of the parameters of the tidal evolution of the Earth-moon system are performed using McDonald-Goldreich's theory based on the elastic static tide model. Situations corresponding to different values of the tidal dissipative factor Q in the late Archean-Proterozoan and in the early Archean are considered. The influence of solar tides and the effects related to the formation of the Earth's core on the evolution of the Earth-moon system is taken into account. The results of calculations are compared with paleontological data. The prospects for future investigations in this field are discussed.
