A new three-micron band spectrum of the infrared source IRS 7 in Sagittarius A has been obtained from Mauna Kea, using a cooled grating spectrometer with a revolving power of about 350. The profiles of the two broad absorption features, centered at 3.0 and 3.4 microns, are well-characterized in this spectrum. Of the narrow absorption features previously reported, only that at 3.48 microns is detected. No other narrow absorption features with equivalent widths greater than 0.001 microns are resolved. The spectrum provides a firm basis for models of interstellar grains based on extinction curves in this spectral region.
