Within the framework of the adiabatic scenario of galaxy formation, fully three-dimensional numerical simulations have been undertaken for the formation and evolution of the large scale structure of the universe. The model contains 32-squared (32,768) collisionless particles which only interact gravitationally. The evolution of perturbations is followed in an expanding cosmological model. The structure formation begins with pancakes, evolves to the network structure, then to the formation of clumps connected by strings, and finally to the formation of isolated clumps. Due to statistical initial perturbations, one can observe different phases of the process in different places simultaneously. The mass function of clumps agrees reasonably with that of Abell clusters.
