Three dimensional, turbulent numerical simulations of entire red giant stars are presented. Preliminary results include highly dipolar global convective flows and pulsational motions driven purely by convection in models that have been run for many sound crossing times after achieving convective equlibrium. Convective motions in these models are directly solved using the Piecewise Parabolic Method (PPM) hydrodynamic code at the highest mesh resoltions currently achievable ( > 100 million cubic zones ) using the computer resources at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA). Discussion includes the current status of the research including self-consistant gravity, an improved photosphere and equation of state. We also present a direct comparison between one dimensional and three dimensional models.
