We present the latest results from the Supernova Legacy Survey (SNLS), the best measurement to date characterizing the Dark Energy responsible for the cosmic acceleration. This analysis uses 300 Type Ia supernovae ( 250 SNLS SNe Ia, 50 external) from our soon to be published 3rd year results. Combining the data with WMAP5, results from baryon acoustic oscillations, and assuming flatness, we find an average equation of state of Dark Energy, consistent with Einstein's cosmological constant to within 6-7% statistical error. We also present the most rigorous analysis of systematic errors ever attempted in a SN Ia study, finding that photometric calibration dominates the systematic error budget, though this can be reduced in the near future with a better low redshift calibration sample. Environmental and possible evolutionary effects will be briefly discussed.
