In order to derive a quantitative thermal history of the Earth, the heat transport equation is to be handled. For this purpose, the effective conductivity, the heat generation and the magma flow velocity beneath the Earth are to be known. The effective conductivity in the Earth consists of three parts: the phonon, the radiative and the exciton components. These components are discussed.
