The compact radio and IR nebula G5.89 - 0.39 has been observed with an array camera in five bands between 8 and 13 microns at a resolution of 1.1 arcsec. The IR images are extended on a scale of 6 x 4.5 arcsec which closely matches radio maps at 6 and 2 cm. The IR nebula is arc-shaped and forms a partial shell open to the south. At 8.5 microns, the edges of the nebula are sharp like those in radio maps, while the 1.25 micron image shows more diffuse structure extending beyond these sharp gradients. The flux density of the source is greatly reduced at 9.5 and 1.5 microns, due to a deep silicate absorption band which affects the entire object and is more or less spatially uniform. The IR images are much less symmetrical than the radio H II region. The details of the IR asymmetries are well fitted by a very simple model in which the star is assumed to be located off-center in the radio shell near the IR-bright northeast arc.
