A kinetic description of dust formation including gravitational settling
has been presented in Woitke & Helling (2003a). An application to a
prescribed brown dwarf atmosphere structure shows, that a stratified
large-scale distribution has to be expected for the dust as well as for
the molecular content of the atmosphere.
