A set of linear algebraic equations for polynomial coefficients relating the auxiliary function psi^o_j(mu) and the Chandrasekhar function H(mu) is derived on the basis of the general theory of light scattering developed by Sobolev. The coefficients of the set of linear algebraic equations are expressed in terms of moments of H(mu). The phase function is assumed to be independent of the azimuth.
