A spherical harmonic analysis is made of the hydrodynamic equation governing the flow of an incompressible liquid in a rotating sphere in the presence of the magnetic Lorentz force. Nonlinear partial differential equations are derived for the functions Sn(r, t) and Tn(r, t) entering the spherical harmonic representation of the velocity field.
