We present a comparison between theoretical and observed energy distributions of a small sample of metal defficient A-K stars. Such comparison is intended to investigate the adequacy of current up to date Kurucz model atmospheres with different convection treatments. The stellar sample includes stars with [Fe/H] < -2.0 in the catalogue of high resolution [Fe/H] determinations of Cayrel et al. (1997). The Observed stellar spectra were collected at the Guillermo Haro Observatory covering the spectral interval 3800-7100 angstroms. In this poster paper we present preliminary results.
