In this paper we introduce the Yokonuma-Temperley-Lieb algebra as a quotient
of the Yokonuma-Hecke algebra. We give a canonical basis and the dimension for
this algebra. Further, we explore the possibility of the Juyumaya trace,
defined on the Yokonuma-Hecke algebras, to pass through to the quotient
algebras.
