Under very general theoretical assumptions, the evolution of the space density of clusters of galaxies is extremely sensitive to cosmological parameters. The most straightforward method of exploiting this sensitivity is through measurements of the X-ray temperature function. We propose to reobserve two clusters that were awarded time in previous XMM AOs but whose data were rendered unusable due to high background periods. These clusters are required to finish the statistically complete sample needed to measure the temperature function.
