The X-ray Telescope (XRT) on the Hinode mission provides an unprecedented combination of spatial and temporal resolution in solar coronal studies. The high sensitivity and broad dynamic range of XRT, coupled with the spacecraft's onboard memory capacity and downlink capability permit a broad range of coronal studies over an extended period of time, for targets ranging from quiet Sun to X-flares.
We will give an overview of the first results from XRT and provide information on how to access the Hinode data and information on how to propose joint observations with Hinode.
The US XRT team is supported by a contract from NASA to SAO. Hinode is an international project supported by JAXA, NASA, PPARC and ESA. We are grateful to the Hinode team for all their efforts in the design, development and operation of the mission.
