UBV photometry of the Southern Globular Cluster NGC 1851 was carried out, with 19 stars observed photoelectrically, and 156 stars measured photographically. The derived apparent modulus is (m-M)app = 15m.50. The reddening is E(B-V) = 0m.10, and the true distance modulus is (m-M)0 = 15m.20. The main features of the color-magnitude diagram are a well defined horizontal branch abundant in red stars and deficient in blue stars, an asymptotic rich subgiant branch and a moderately populated red giant branch of medium steepness.
