In this paper we report on the World Space Observatory for Ultraviolet
(WSO/UV), a project to implement a 2m class space telescope dedicated to
UV spectroscopy and imaging. We give some technical informations on the
project and discuss its primary science objectives. A report on the
status of its implementation is also given.
