We present maps of the W 80 dark cloud (2 x 2 deg) from fully sampled surveys in (C-12)O, (C-13)O, H2CO and HI. The observations are described in detail. Due to the choice of the above species a volume density range between 10 and 10,000/cu cm is probed. The expectation that this dark cloud is relatively quiescent and young with regard to ongoing fragmentation is confirmed. The data will be used for a study of the inventory of structure and its fragmentation status.
