It is shown that the AM1 and RM2 geodesic models of lithospheric plate motion do not contradict recent data on individual station displacements. This conclusion is confirmed by an analysis of baseline variations and chord-length changes revealed during laser ranging to Lageos and VLBI observations of radio sources. The kinematic parameters of recent plate motion are estimated.
