Photoelectric lightcurves of the short-period eclipsing binary RT Andromedae are analyzed in terms of two advanced models, those of Wood (1971) and Wilson and Devinney (1971). The presence of a 'migration wave' on the lightcurves with a period of about 22 years is ascertained by the analysis of the residuals with respect to the synthetic lightcurves and compared with the results obtained by the conventional procedure. The analysis suggests that this group of binaries have many properties in common with classical RS CVn binaries.
