The Utrecht photometric system (UPS) consists of a set of 13 narrowband interference filters centered on eight wavelengths, with bandpasses ranging from 10 to 100 A. Deviations from monochromatic behavior are studied and found to be negligible. A magnitude scale for the UPS is presented for 10 standard stars with spectral types ranging from B0 to A1; this standard star system is shown to have an accuracy of plus or minus 0.015.
