The unusual low-latitude (b = 2.8 deg) radio source CTB80, a galactic nonthermal object and probably a supernova remnant, is examined. A compact high brightness region with a very flat spectrum dominates the center, and optical emission is found associated with this feature. It is suggested that peak magnitude was probably -4 plus or minus 1 mag. Evidence that CTB80 may be young is discussed, in particular, the possibility that it was observed in China on Oct. 24, 1408.
