We describe the present status of the Trieste Solar Radio System (TSRS), a dedicated facility for the continuous surveillance of the radio corona in the m-dm band at fixed frequencies, which is operated by the Trieste Astronomical Observatory at the Basovizza Observing Station. Its operational features, such as the ultra-high time resolution and accurate circular polarization measurements, allow the real-time tracking of many varieties of fast solar radio events related to coronal energy release and particle acceleration, and therefore can play a role in space weather forecasting. page, 215-218
