It is shown that the tidal evolution of protoplanets with dimensions of the order of their Hill sphere radii does not exhibit any explicit dependence on their masses, dimensions, and distance to the sun. Combined with the compression factor, tidal evolution is capable of increasing the initially small (of the order of a degree) inclinations to the current various inclinations of the planets. The initial inclinations of the protoplanets are found to be proportional to the deviations of their orbits from the mean plane of the solar system, which can be explained geometrically by assuming that the protoplanets had the same initial orientation.
