Supernova (SN) 1987A, even at the end of its second decade, still has the best resolved observations among all discovered supernovae. While observations on most other supernovae are no more than a bright spot, the observations on the debris of SN 1987A have enough resolution to allow us to study its internal structures and its evolution in detail. In this project, our goal is to model the three-dimensional structure and kinematics of the H-alpha emission from the debris using a combination of high angular resolution narrow band images from WFPC2 on HST, and multiple narrow-slit spectral data by STIS on HST taken across the surface of the debris. We attempted to reproduce simultaneously the features in the imaging and spectral observations with simple model atmospheres. Through simulations, we were able to study the three dimensional structure and dynamics of the debris, constraining its size, orientation, density distribution, and expansion velocity. Moreover, effects of dust formation in the supernova atmosphere were investigated.
