We calculate, for certain higher-dimensional local fields F, the third
homology of SL_2(F) with coefficients in Z[1/2]. The answer is expressed as a
direct sum of abelian groups, the first term being the indecomposable K_3 of F
and all others being pre-Bloch groups of intermediate residue fields.
